Her Football Coaching Hub was formed by Andy Dawson and Mark Reeve in February 2022. We offer additional football sessions for girls playing grassroots football and beyond. We are based in Blackburn, Lancashire. The idea for Her Football Coaching Hub came following our shared experiences with the town and county representative sides, which we are extremely proud to be involved with.

To see a group of girls who play for different grassroots, community trust and RTCs train together and play for their town or county is a fantastic experience. Season 2021-2022 was the first time that Blackburn with Darwen had any girls' representative sides. It was an honour for us as coaches. What a great honour for the girls and their families.

We want to help strengthen girls' football in the area. We've never seen the point of having a couple of strong sides with the rest struggling to put teams out. We hope our sessions benefit the girls and teams that visit us, making the local leagues more competitive, which in turn helps the various district representative teams and county. 

Our sessions are train only, so there is no threat to local teams of players leaving to join us. We work with grassroots, not against it. 

Joined by our colleagues, Rob Wilson and Rob King, we currently offer weekly outfield and goalkeeping sessions for girls aged 10 to 16. These are held on a Monday night at The Hub which is based at St. Wilfrid's C of E Academy, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB2 2JR.

Each of our groups work on a weekly topic, delivered according to age and ability. Sessions are typically made up of arrival activities, ball mastery/manipulation, technical practices and small sided games. 

All places must be booked before attendance. We are unable to accept 'turn up and play'.
